This church is dedicated to St. Julia and dates back to the 15th century, even if some push this date back of a couple of centuries, and was rebuilt in a neo-gothic sytle in the years between 1908 and 1936. It was severely damaged by the earthquake of 1976 and was rebuilt with three naves in modern architectural lines (reusing twelve stone columns taken from the previous neo-gothic church).
The bell tower was also renovated in the years between 1871 and 1884 , and it was originallly built using exposed stone. The church was consacrated in 1987 and underwent further renovation in 2003 with the reconstruction of the roof.
